Well, I guess that title doesn't mean shit anymore.

Anyway, here it is, I know I said that I was going to go into school to do some ink diffusing stuff onto it, but this background is beginning to grow on me, I think that the darkness (no pun intended with the shit band and shit song) kinda accentuates (real word?) the characters.

I'm sorry if the background seems a little rushed, but in truth it is, I wanted to get it complete for next week so I could include it in one of my modules for my A level so I did it all this weekend. In truth it is my third final piece for that module (My HoRmOnAl PsYcHo painting being another, plus one which I doubt anyone cares about, mainly because it's shit), I just kinda got engrossed with it at the expense of the other modules.

Anyway, this took me approximately three months. I started it the day I was rejected from art school and I've been working on it ever since.

I want to thank everyone who helped by giving me comments on the unfinished piece, most particularly Hallu ( [link] ), as without you people I would probably have just smashed this painting in despair and sadness at my lack of talent.

Definetly a big improvement from the previous version you submitted. Without the wings it looks a lot better. I dont see how the art school rejected you (maybe its just cause people at art schools can be pricks sometimes) but you should keep improving your art and applying to more art schools another term. You have some talent, craft it a little more and there is no way you could not get into an art schoo. I wish you luck in getting into one though

You have SO much talent. Don't ever tell oyurself you don't. Most of the people in this world couldn't paint something half as realistic or nearly as beautiful. I love this piece!

Very nice, definitely better without the wings. I didn't think the background looks rushed, just simplistic - works well, the mix of colour and such in the figures might have become overwhelming if you'd had too detailed a background. At least, I wouldn't appreciate it as much. XP Glad to hear you aren't ink diffusing, too, but that's more a personal preference, ink diffusion is icky. I'm so selfish.
Anyway, overall very, very cool, well worth the time you invested in it. Glad to hear I was of some help!

Hah, if I weren't so skint, I'd love to commission you. Maybe one day when I'm rich and famous. Or at least waiting tables.
